No. There is no way this story has a 4.22 rating. The sentences are beyond simple, grade school level and I found myself adding depth in my mind or subtracting dialogue that did not seem real. I enjoy damaged individuals so I persevered as long as I could, but, rather quickly, the MC is not so damaged after all and the L word is bandied about much too quickly.
I urge you to read a sample from Amazon. The book was a disappointment in that I relished the idea of this woman moving forward outside her comfort zone, developing an interest in dating and relationships, but there are no steps to this process at all, it just happens, like turning on a light switch with a quick simplicity of thought.
