Madam President

Madam President - Blayne Cooper;T. Novan The story started out as implausible, but ok. An author is hired in 2020 (the authors were optimists writing this in 2001) to write a biography of the new president of the USA, an out lesbian widow with kids. This hired author 'catches the gay' from the woman and soon they are inseparable. Some presidential stuff is thrown in for color, an assassination attempt, a middle-eastern diplomat who wants to add the author to his harem and a mother trying to commit suicide are but a few examples. That said, I enjoyed the book to the half-way point.
