I was without a book which is a situation I don't care for a bit, so I began looking at author's I liked in the past to see if I had missed anything and this came up. I was not in the mood for a YA, but this was an enjoyable read. The big talk with Katie's parents was humorous and original. Siera Maley has a nice writing style. Her books flow well and I like her characters.
Edit: Reading this a year later I noticed another aspect of this book, like it is almost entirely joyless
