Whiskey at Midnight

Whiskey at Midnight - A.E. Kessler I absolutely loved this book and realized this near the 2/3 mark. As I began this journey I examined only the superficial, as if I was a character in the bar watching the characters. I was appalled at the drinking and smoking until I realized my early 20's were similar. This book describes actions of seemingly real people, their mistakes and the successes. The two main characters make heartbreaking choices which were so painful to read and go through with them because at this point you know them, they're friends, but with the lessons learned the pain changed to happiness as they healed.
