And Playing the Role of Herself

And Playing the Role of Herself - K.E. Lane I liked this book but I didn't love it. I read it through and really enjoyed the beginning more than the middle which contained, to me, artificial conflicts and bizarre inventions to bring the two women back together. If the second plot contrivance had not been used I could of stood the first.

I thought the author missed a chance to have the lesbian plot lines of their TV show reflect their blossoming real life romance.

I didn't really feel the power of the relationship as it evolved, the superficiality of the thing with the endless comments and thoughts on appearances and all of the aforementioned contriving. All that said, I liked the book 3 stars worth.
